Brim Hospitals Named "Most Wired"
Brentwood, Tenn., July 7, 2009---Sunnyside Community Hospital located in Sunnyside, Wash. and Spooner Health System located in Spooner, Wis. were named among the nation's "Most Wired" by Hospitals & Health Networks (H&HN) magazine. The annual Most Wired Survey and Benchmarking Study was released in the July 2009 issue of the publication.
This is the second year both Spooner Health System and Sunnyside Community Hospital were selected for their use of technology as a key tool for health care quality improvements. Spooner was listed as one of the top 25 "Most Wired Small & Rural" hospitals, and Sunnyside received top "100 Most Wired" recognition among hospitals affiliated with Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS) Washington and Idaho region.
Since 1998, H&HN, the journal of the American Hospital Association has published the "Most Wired" lists. Hospitals are named to the lists based on survey results that measure how a hospital uses information technology in regard to safety, quality, customer service, business processes, workforce, and public health.
