Brim Appoints SVP of Solutions Group

Brentwood, Tenn., April 17, 2009---Derek Morkel has been named senior vice president of Brim's Solutions Group the company announced today.

Morkel will be responsible for integrating Brim's technology-based Solutions Group for the company's owned and managed hospitals. Brim's Solutions Group is a newly-formed division of the company offering services such as data management, business intelligence and revenue cycle software solutions.

Most recently, Morkel was senior vice president of operations at MedCath based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to that, he was chief executive officer of US Operations at Craneware, Inc., a leading revenue cycle software solutions company with North American headquarters in Orlando, Florida. Morkel has also served as operations chief financial officer at IASIS located in Franklin, Tennessee. He holds a master of healthcare administration from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
