Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital Named Business of the Year
Thermopolis, Wyo. (March 8, 2008) - Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital was honored as the Thermopolis Chamber of Commerce 2007 Business of the Year at the Annual Chamber Banquet held on March 8. Among the criteria for selection were commitment to customer service and community benefits. Chief Executive Officer Trudy Chittick, Board Member Delores Loughlin, and Marketing Director T.J. Schoenewald accepted the award.
Brim Hospitals Nationally Recognized
Chicago, Ill. (January 25, 2008) - Shawano Medical Center in Shawano, Wis., and Sunnyside Community Hospital in Sunnyside, Wash., were nationally recognized for their improvement in overall job satisfaction by HR Solutions, Inc.
HR Solutions, Inc., is an international Human Capital Management Consulting firm located in Chicago, that specializes in employee engagement and exit survey design and analysis.
More than 650 companies were eligible for the recognition. Shawano Medical Center was ranked second in improved job satisfaction for a 12.8 percent increase. Sunnyside Community Hospital was ranked third in improved job satisfaction with a 10.1 percent improvement.
Emanuel Medical Center Receives Patient Care Award
Swainsboro, Ga. (January 1, 2008) - Emanuel Medical Center (EMC) was named "Top CARE Hospital" by the Georgia Hospital Association for excellence in patient care. The medical center has maintained its standing in the top quartile of its peer group for the past three years.
The award represents EMC's outstanding achievement and sustained performance improvement in six key areas, including quality and patient safety. EMC was among 19 hospitals in the state of Georgia to earn the award.
In addition, EMC earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for passing re-accreditation. The three-day, unannounced survey focused on methodology that tracked and evaluated patient care.
"A commitment from the Hospital Authority, medical staff, and employees permits us to continue providing patient-focused health care which exceeds the expectations of the people we serve," said Len Daugherty, Chief Executive Officer at EMC.
