Conducting mock surveys to access a healthcare organization's compliance with The Joint Commission (JC), CMS, HFAP, DNV, and state regulations. The assessment identifies those areas at risk of non-compliance and includes a corrective action plan tailored to the individual organization.
Conducting the organization Periodic Performance Review to determine ongoing compliance with JC standards as required by JC.
Reviewing and revising a healthcare organization's policies, procedures and bylaws to meet standards compliance with JC, CMS, HFAP, DNV and state regulations.
Developing policies in collaboration with hospital staff to meet new standards, as they are made available from applicable regulatory bodies.
Providing sample policy templates to organization to be used in developing their own individual, unique policies/procedures.
Educating staff and medical staff on regulatory standards and requirements.
Facilitating survey preparation through on-site/off-site support and leadership.
Assisting with the development of corrective action plans related to regulatory compliance surveys.
Facilitating Failure Mode Effect Analysis to identify potential process failures and develop systems/process improvements to correct for potential failures.
Facilitating Root Cause Analysis for events with negative patient outcomes or near misses to assist the hospital staff in identifying process failures and developing corrective actions. Includes development of presentation materials for JC and on-site support for JC interview.
Providing interim staffing in the areas of Regulatory Compliance, Performance Improvement, Risk Patient Safety, Nursing Leadership, Human Resources and other areas as requested.
Mentoring staff in key compliance positions.
Providing service/project management oversight, including projects outside the scope of regulatory compliance.
