Brim Provides Management Services to Copper Basin Medical Center
Brentwood, Tenn., February 5, 2009 -- Brim has been selected by the board of trustees at Copper Basin Medical Center to provide management services. The 25-bed critical access hospital is located in Copperhill, Tennessee.
Copper Basin Medical Center agreed to a five-year management contract with Brim. Under this agreement, Brim will provide a team of experienced healthcare professionals to serve in the areas of financial management, quality patient care, strategic planning, medical staff development, patient financial services and education. Brim will also provide membership in the Broadlane group purchasing program and will give the hospital access to discounts available through various service vendors often used by Brim's group of managed hospitals.
In addition, Brim will immediately begin to work with the board of trustees to recruit a new chief executive officer and chief financial officer. An interim chief executive officer will begin immediately.
