Our History: Delivering Quality Healthcare

Gene Brim, FounderIn 1971, Gene Brim launched a healthcare operating company focused on meeting the needs of community hospitals. Brim was among the first to develop a model that balanced a community's need for local decision making with the need for professional hospital management expertise. For almost four decades, Brim's collaborative management model has helped community hospitals across the nation deliver quality healthcare close to home.

The company began with a small team of dedicated individuals who brought innovative solutions to hospitals. That spirit of commitment continues.

As the company approaches its 40th anniversary, Brim has become a multi-faceted organization offering both contract and equity solutions for hospitals. On the contract side, the company continues to manage hospitals on behalf of non-profit organizations and offers focused consulting services for hospitals that require immediate financial restructuring. Brim also leases or will acquire community hospitals in selected circumstances.

Across the United States, hospitals rely on Brim for proven leadership and new strategic approaches.
